How do you have short hair emo style?

My friend had short hair but while it grew long he said he put it in layers with a razor(for hair) and i don't get that.Wtvr but i have short hair and the tip reaches to the top of my nose and on average the rest is above my eyebrow(when my hair is straightened). Im a guy and i really want to have an emo style hair. But without dyeing my hairHow do you have short hair emo style?
Find a picture you like and take it into a beauty salon to get it cut that way. The hair razor is used to thin out the hair, which is what a lot of emo hair consists of, thinning the hair as the length increases. You may want to wait until your hair grows a little longer before trying to style it. For emo hair, there is suppose to be a lot of short layers on the top of the hair and longer pieces at the bottom. It still would probably be best to wait until it gets long, to the tip of the nose or to the chin, then it would be easier to cut into an emo hair cut.
