How do you get 'beach waves' with short hair?

Is it possible? I cut my hair recently and it's now grown to the bottom of my neck. If anyone can help thanks!How do you get 'beach waves' with short hair?
part your hair down the center while its still wet and braid each one, if your hair is to thick or short then part it a few more times for more braids
