So I am tall 5'10 and I am not skinny and not fat, oval face and an hour glass shape if this helps :). I am worried it may make me look bigger than what I am. I dont want to go super short but I would like to go neck length. I have had shoulder length and don't think it looks as good as longer hair but never above my shoulders. Any suggestions??Does short hair look good on tall women?
I'll get even a little more specific here: do you have a long neck? I'm a hairdresser and have been for 20+ years. To me it's not just a job, it's an art form. I would give my left kidney to be as tall as you, by the way! Anyhoo... the reality is this. People with long necks look UBER tall, almost awkwardly tall, with very short hair. Look at your neck, is it proportionate with the rest of your physique? (Look at Jennifer Love Hewitt, as an example. She's not a very tall girl, yet she's got the neck of a giraffe. I think she's very beautiful, personally. But she would NOT look good rockin a short 'do). Some tall people have super long legs. Some have super long bodies (my daughter is 5'7';, moderately tall, has a long body, short legs, and a REALLY small head and REALLY LONG neck. I think she's beautiful. But she definitely is not a candidate for a short 'do). If your neck doesn't look exceptionally long/out of proportion to the rest of your body, then a short cut will probably look GREAT on you!!!!! If you've got yourself a giraffe neck, honestly, and not to be mean, it probably wouldn't be in your best interest to go shorter than shoulder length. But then, it always grows out, right? Do what makes you happy! :)
Good luck!Does short hair look good on tall women?
If you have a small head, no, as this could make you look bigger than you are, if you have an average or large head, you will look just fine.
im 5'9'' and i have shoulder length black hair and it looks so sexy on me. i say do it short hair looks good on tall girls
If you have large head it will work
Get a bob
