How can I style my short hair?

I already naturally have straight hair, but with my new short (just below ear length bob) haircut has the tendency to get a little puffy. How can I make it fall flat, straight, and shiny? Maybe I just don't know how to use a flat iron, but whenever I use it, my hair just kind of sticks up in certain places in stead of falling under .How can I style my short hair?

i recommend either sunsilk satin straight or herbal essences dangerously straight. they both leave ur hair silky shiny, and sleek. i only tried sunsilk and it is AMAZIN! the smell is also very nice. then try some leave in conditioner or cream, either the sunsilk or maybe frutis sleek and shine leave in conditioner. and by the way, the sunsilk is the purple bottle. ok, so after u wash ur hair, u could blowdry it, using a comb and keeping the blow dryer bear the comb. u kno, the usual blow dry-while-styling-with-a- comb. and if ur hair still poofy, thenbrush ur hair, and flat iron the outer layer of hair, to b quick. use dove flexible hold hairspray to keep the style in and the frizz out and because it is ';flexible hold, ur hair still has natural movement';
