Brittany dogs: Do some brittanys have short hair and some have medium length hair?

Or do all brittanys have the same length hair? My husband and I are thinking of purchasing one but I wanted to know more about their coat length. Thank you!Brittany dogs: Do some brittanys have short hair and some have medium length hair?
It's a medium coat and can come in smooth or wavy. The Brittany press says that the coat should be long enough to protect the dog from briars, but not enough to collect burrs.
