Any tips for going from long hair to short hair? I have had the same hair style since the 10th grade?

i did the same last year! trust me it will literally SCARE you to walk in front of the mirror, simply b/c ';you are your hair'; and you hair just changed completely.





all in all, it was one of the best decisions i could have made, its so liberating to just get off w/ the old! it makes you feel more feminine, honestly!

going to short you might hate it , try a med. length you can always cut more later. ask your stylist your skin tone to match the right colors for your hair. (winter,spring,fall,summer)the wrong tones can wash your face out and can actually make you hate your new color when really it chaged your face. a good stylist will know what i'm talking about. Wish i could do your hair , i love doing make-over's. good luck and have fun!!!
Have a good idea of what you want the stylist to do before you go, and if you'll be having at least 10 inches cut off, consider donating it to something like Locks of Love.
look in magazines and see what hot now, like what some celebs have, and maybe try one of those hair style tip magazines, they have cute styles and tips for new hair cuts.
just remeber: you can not go back


so be sure it is EXACTLY what you want


and if ur beautician suggests something, ask for a picture
i say keep your hair long. everyone is getting there hair short. but your choice :))
