I got a gorgeous all white cat from a shelter and I love her, she has short hair, and I brush her often, but the brush doesn't seem to collect the hair. After I'm done brushing her I pet her and all these loose hairs come off of her. What kind of brush should I use for my short hair cat?
I am a fan of the Zoom Groom. All four of my cats love this soft rubber
brush.I have one short hair and three long hairs.Works well on everyone. What kind of brush should I use for my short hair cat?
There is a grooming tool called the furminator (available at pet stores), it is supposed to be wonderful. I have not tried it yet because it is a bit costly...the one I looked at for cats was like $35. I did see one that looked just like it (can't remember what its name was) at Walmart for about $14 that I am planning on buying the next time I go there. The tool is supposed to get all the loose hairs plus take care of the undercoat.
Safari makes a really great slicker brush with retractable pins. I use it on my Exotic Shorthair and it's great at removing the loose hair. Just Google ';Safari brush retractable pins'; to find it.
if shes short short hair .. use a baby brush from mothercare or somewhere like that .. the bristles are soft and close together so it will collect quite a few hairs
