Would it not be easier for short hair to be compulsory for bother genders who join the army?

I know this will a controversial viewpoint, but females could focus better on their army duties, not messing about with hair bands and pins.

They have joined the army for goodness sake, not a modelling agency! Having long hair is nothing but vanity.Would it not be easier for short hair to be compulsory for bother genders who join the army?
To my knowledge, there has never been a single problem in the army caused by a woman's hair. It is simple enough to care for by tying it up. I think - from personal experience - that is as easy to focus on our army duties with long hair as it is with short hair.

If you want to bring up a topic about gender discrimination, then ask why capable women can't join certain regiments.Would it not be easier for short hair to be compulsory for bother genders who join the army?
I think before you can even have this view point, you should grow out your hair and test how long it taked to put up your hair.

I was in JROTC. And sure it's not the military but my Chief sure as hell treated it like we were in the Air Force/Army. Every. Little. Detail. had to be spot on.

That included hair. One girl had hair all the way to her knees and it took her, at the least, two minutes to put it into a tight bun that followed standards.

No dip, it's not a modelling agency. If the military had found anything wrong with women having their hair long, then they would have changed those rules a long, long time ago.
Well it DOES take considerable time to put up hair in military standards so that there is no possibility of it falling down (i.e. Bobby pins, gel, hair nets) and pony tails are definitely not allow, you must remember that soldiers are still humans with personal lives. Though there would be an obvious advantage to having short hair, their lives outside of the Forces would be unjustly hampered.
if its not compulsary already, then it shouldnt really be a problem anyway, women, in the army (i doubt they care about how their hair looks while being there). and hairbands take like 2 seconds to put on, if she gets up and out on time, then it shouldnt bother anyone, its like saying, why dont men, let a beard grow, because it takes time to shave?
It takes two seconds to throw long hair back into a pony tail. In fact, long hair is easier to look after than short (I have experienced both extremes)

I think what you are suggesting is unnecessary and extreme.
the army insist men have to cut their hair short, the same rule should apply to women, also they should be made to wear the same uniform insteed of designer skirts and high heels
A simple answer...Yes.
LONG HAIR RULEZ.

Get your bloody hair grown!
