How can I wear ribbon in my short hair?

I have pretty short hair, it's about two inches longer than my chin. Tomorrow is the homecoming game, and I'd like to put some shiny silver ribbon (1/4 in.) in my hair. How can I wear it without looking dumb?How can I wear ribbon in my short hair?

Tie the ribbon to a barrette, bobby pin, or one of those triangle-shaped kind of barrettes that you bend back and forth to open and close...sorry, don't know what their proper name is.
you can try and just put it on like a headband
if you can put your hair in a ponytail you should do a side pony with the ribbion in it..
