How do you highlight very short hair?

My wife has short hair, about 1'; long on top and shorter sides and back. She would like to try a home highlighting kit. What tips and brands can you provide?How do you highlight very short hair?
Highlighting.. if you get it wrong... can be a killer to reverse. I could never reverse my highlights with other highlights... I had to dye it and even then there was an orange sheen!





My advice is to be ABSOLUTELY sure on the colour you picked. Test it on a patch of hair, see how it handles for a few days.. Sometimes it fades a bit, or changes colour.





Second advice, the more money you spend on the product, the better it will be. (I don't know what brands you can buy readily)


You could either get some from a hairdresser too.





Make sure hair is clean and dry before application.


Rinse with cold water (helps the colour fasten)





Maybe consider using dye instead of highlights. There's a difference where I live (asia) highlights are not as good as dyes.How do you highlight very short hair?
