Are there any straighteners for my short hair?

My hair is short (being a guy) and is very thick and wavy. When I get out of the shower, I use the vo5 make it straight stuff, and it helps a little, but I really need to use an iron (I think) to make it actually straight. As it dries, my hair becomes even more wavy, and it looks extremely odd.





My question is, do they make any straighteners for short hair? My hair isnt long enough to use those irons that press the hair between two hot metal plates. Is there one that is maybe just flat, and I can comb through my hair to straighten? Im getting desperate here, chemical products arent working.

the ghd is one of a number of slim hair straighteners. i'm a female with very curly hair so when i had it cut oh so short i was doing what you are - using gels and things but then started using a slim straightener and voila! piece of pie. however it will take practise.
