So many older women seem to have that haircut that isn't any longer than 3 or 4 inches from their scalp, whether its curly, poofy or straight ... why is that? Why do older women seem to inevitably have short hair?
I notice after some time their hair loses that silky glossy look, and starts to look dead and dry(even tho hair is actually dead). I don't know what causes, (im not a biologist lol) it but It does not look good long anymore. My mom boss, who is in her upper 60's absolutely hates to see women over 50 with long hair, she claims it looks like a mop on their head. My question is, why does the hair lose that silky look? Why do older women seem to inevitably have short hair?
for the same reasons that young girls have short hair. now if your talking about the 70+ y/o then that's because they would not know what to do with long hair. i my self 52 y/o my hair is half way down my back and i don't have in plans to cut it short any time soon. some times i wear it straight some times i wear it curly but never ever poofy.
because they are just being practical... having a long hair requires more shampoo and more time to groom it.. by having short hair, they save time, energy, etc...
anyway, they have experienced having long hair in their younger days!!!!!
its because its easier to maintain.
the get their hair cut, permed and set every week. usually they wash it once a week and have someone else do it for them.
its harder for them to do their own hair.
I have no idea! I was just thinking about that awhile ago :)
Hmm that's a good question.
