I am 18 years old adn I wanted to know what I could do to grown my hair at least to shoulder length. I have previously had braids and fake hair. Any suggestions would be lovely. Thank you.I have very short hair and I am trying to grow it. Any suggestions?
- A deep scalp massage and condition
- Hang your head upside down for about 20-30 secs a day
(it helps the blood flow to help stimulate)
- Don't cut it.
(people that say 'cutting your hair makes it grow faster' is a complete
myth! That only works for mens facial hair and womens leg hair!)
- Eat healty/drink plenty of water/eat alot of protein/exclude junk food
- Wash and condition your hair every other day
(don't wash your hair everyday, it makes it dry)I have very short hair and I am trying to grow it. Any suggestions?
1. get your hair trimmed every 6-8 weeks
2. use good shampoo and conditioner (from a salon, tresemme is also really good)
3. when using heat styling products ALWAYS use a heat protector
(tresemme makes a really good one)
4. take hair, skin, and nail vitamins ($5 at walmart)
5. if your hair is dry use a deep conditioner once a week
6. dont wash your hair every day it strips the natural oils (3-4 times a week)
**the healthier your hair is the faster it will grow**
this is exactly what i tell my clients when they ask me this question and i have had many come back saying they were amazed about how well it worked
Cell division is responsible for the hair growth cycle. hair growthThe new cells push the hair forward to make it longer, so the new hair is added at the root. There are about 100.000 hairs on a healthy scalp of hair. Each of these hairs will, in normal healthy conditions, last for one up to six years. People loose about 100 hairs per day, in normal conditions. The fallen hairs are replaced by new hair. Baldness occurs when new hairs are not being produced anymore.
During it's life a hair goes through three phases of growth: the anagen, the telogen and the catagen. The anagen is the first phase with new hair growing in the hair bulb. The catagen is the following phase when hair stops growing because the cell division stopped. The telogen is the final phase. New hair starts growing in the papilla and finally the old hair falls out.
hair growth Hair grows at about the same speed all over your head. There is no perceptible difference between the fringe, nape, crown, ...
You might think that fringes (bangs) grow faster than hair on other parts of your head, but that's simply an illusion. Many cut the fringe just above the eyebrows and because of this the slightest hairgrowth will be visible. Wearing a turtleneck will also make your hair look longer and maybe make you think that your hair grows faster. Again an illusion has been created here because of the straight line of the turtleneck.
Do you straighten/blow dry/curl your hair? If you do, it's best to not do it everyday and only on certain occasions. Also be sure to have a healthy diet; eat vitamins, fruits, veggies, etc. Try not to cut your hair as often too; only get it trimmed when you start noticing split ends. When shampooing/conditioning, try not to bunch your hair up; instead, work the shampoo/conditioner through the hair. Avoid using products too (hairspray, mousse, gel, etc.)
Good luck. =]
i heard if you cut off the tips of your hair it grows longer
my hair grows fast i think if you just get a lot of exercise and be healthy then it grows fast
don't put too much stuff on your hair like mixing shampoos together and using too much conditioner
so yeah that's all i can say hope it helps :)
there is a supplement called Biotin, it promotes skin and hair health. Since I do many damaging things to my hair I take this supplement and i feel it works to repair the hair within. It is definately not a ';miracle pill'; it's just a vitamin. Biotin is also found in almost all womens' vitamins.
Keep it clean and Moisturize and and keep end cut,
Wild growth hair oil also!!!! i lvoe this stuff
go to wildgrowth.com %26amp; see pic of people hair growing over the months
it's at sally's beauty for 7.99
I have short hair and i'm growing my hair out to. Use Pantene shampoo and conditioner, and comb your hair with a wide toothed comb when your hair is wet. That makes your hair smooth so you don't have to get it cut. That worked for me!
Braid hair in cornrows and do quickweave. They are easy and u'll can go months without perming ur hair or adding any heat to it. Go to youtube.com and type in quickweaves! Trust me some look ghetto others do not. Narrow ur sure by typing natural quickweaves. Good luck!

Hi there
I think your mistake previously was having your hair cut too soon.
Try leaving it this time longer and checking in the mirror. It should eventually reach your shoulders after maybe 6 months to a year.
don't get fake hair, just don't get it cut, and let it grow out. while waiting experiment with different hairstyles.
Don't cut it and when you get split ends, just get the minimum you can cut off, this way, your hair will still look nice
don't just leave your hair and not cut it at all
it does needs to be trimmed
maybe do it every 10 - 12 weeks
a good shampoo which might help you hair grown is mane n tail
Well DUH you STOP CUTTIING IT! Stop doing the damaging things you're doing to your hair so it CAN grow!
just wait a couple of months and it will be shoulder length
Not cut it seems to be the best way.
Don't cut it.
weaves or wigs lol
that's easy don't cut it
dont cut it
