We're keeping our 2 Yorkie's hair short because of the mess they would leave. What about your dogs?Does your dog have long or short hair?

my dog has short hair and he is really soft.
I have a Shelty/American Eskimo mix and his hair is about four inches long. Our house doesn't get too messy, but then again I am an absolute clean freak, so I vacuum a bit; our house is mostly tiled making it easier to keep clean though.

i have a bichon an i keep him clip short all year long because he is high maintenance in grooming and i have a boxer which is short hair so i bathe her my self at home because she is easy maintenance.
Short...which is why she is called a German Short haired Pointer
Our cavvie has to have her back legs and fur around her bottom shaved as she always seems to get mats and poo and everything else she rolls in there! I also have to trim the inside of her pads on her paws for the same reason.


I have only shaved my other girl once, this summer has been really hot and she is black long coat chihuahua.
Both! I have an aussie with short hair on her face and killer feathers.


I understand grooming yorkies, cockers, maltese... the really long haired breeds.


But it totally bugs me, dunno why really, when people shave their goldens and aussies! Lol... maybe it just looks so undignified. I shave my cat's belly in the summer :)
Mine has long hair she doesn't shed so it is not a problem.

2 aussies (austrailian shepherds) used to be 3, they have pretty long hair and they shed. they get summer cuts every once in a while
She's a Mini Schnauzer, so she's got wookie feet and a short-trimmed body.
I have a white german shepherd and a rat terrier. My shepherd sheds like crazy. I love her, so i just have learned to sweep the floor a lot. :) I also groom her a lot outside.
