Do most jobs require men to have short hair?

My family kept telling me that many jobs out there will require me to get really short hair to keep their company looking ';professional';. But I don't see that when I go to the stores I go to.


My hair isn't extreme, but it's kind of long.


So is it true or are they just overreacting?Do most jobs require men to have short hair?
For health and safety reasons, any job involving food, dentistry, medicine and perhaps electronics, will require short hair.Do most jobs require men to have short hair?
My husband is Native American and has long hair. He keeps it up in hat so he appears to have a neat and professional appearance. If this isn't possible, try braiding or put on multiple hair bands to show a neat and professional appearance.
Depends on the company...they all have their own policies. Most restaurants are very strict, but in certain retail jobs it doesnt matter. Really just depends on what you are going for!
