Are there any young women who have short hair and KEEP their hair short?

I was just wondering because women will cut their hair and then let it grow out. Its so temporary. Are there any young women who have short hair and KEEP their hair short?
I used to have short hair... a couple times. When I was a little kid, I had a short afro...Then my mom let me grow my hair without cutting it for 9 years, after which she gave up and made me cut it and straighten it. When I was 13, I had a boys' short afro haircut and a long, skinny, braided ';rat tail'; with beads on the ends. lol. I kept it short for a couple of years, but then I decided to straighten my hair and wear it long, because in high school, I felt like I had to conform to having longer, straight hair in order to stop getting picked on. When I was older, I shaved off my waist length hair and wore it super short for several years -no rat tail this time, lol. Later, I grew my hair out again...this time, because, as an adult, I didn't have the luxury of my parents paying for pricey hair appointments, colors, straighteners, or hair cuts. I basically could not afford to do anything. Short hair cuts are more difficult to do than haircuts on longer hair, and you have to go in every 6-8 weeks to maintain your style. You really have to go to a fairly expensive salon with very experienced stylists, especially with my really curly, ethnic hair. It can get expensive, especially if they are doing a color, too. The cheapest thing for me was to grow my hair out. If I'm paying all my money in gas for my car, longer hair that only needs trimmed once a year or two is the way to go for me. I can stick it in a ponytail and save my $1200-$1500 a year for something else! So, I'd say financial reasons, plus time (if you want to maintain short edgy haircuts, or elaborate chemically treated styles, you gotta have those Saturday mornings free for hours in the salon, no more sleeping in or working overtime!) These are two big reasons for growing out that short haircut. Also, many women feel that men want their girlfriends to have long hair. I know when my hair is short, I get comments like ';why did you do that to yourself!'; from men. Also, some women may feel they will be labeled as lesbians, who stereotypically wear their hair short. This is, of course, a stereotype, but if you have a shaved head and you are a woman and you also have on a flannel and boots, people might think you are a lesbian, which is awesome if you are one, but not so great if you are trying to get a date with a traditional, conservative style man. People always said ';now THAT is a lesbian'; if I wore a necktie with my short hair cuts. I also think trends dictate length. If a high profile celeb, like winona ryder, demi moore %26amp; meg ryan in the past or keira knightly, halle berry, and natalie portman more recently, have short hair, women will flock to the popular short style. Incidently, right now, the bob, a fairly short cut sported by some hip hop/pop singer, and dating back to the roaring 20s, is all the rage. With all this eco green trend, women will probably grow out their bobs into long, unstyled hippie hair really soon. I think a lot of people like to stay with the trends, so they cut, and then grow out...like a cycle. Are there any young women who have short hair and KEEP their hair short?
i had such long hair but i donated my hair to locks of love and now its above my chin practically.

but it is really easy to take care of because it doesn't take that much time on it as it does when you have long hair....

but i really do miss my long hair...

so if you have long hair don't cut it above your chin you should just have your hair about where your shoulders are because its cute like that....

oh and with my short hair i have layers so it looks better when a person has layers with short hair because its cuter but when you have long hair with layers its not that cute but ya shorter hair is really easier....

but i will never ever cut my hair this short ever again!

haha
Actually my hair has always been short about to my chin for years at a time ive never had my hair longer than down my shoulders in my life.. because i have this bad habit of cutting it because shorter hair is so much easier to deal with
Like long hair, girls get sick of it...I cut mine short, I guess you can say I had the Rihanna bob cut. I got sick of it and grew it out...but of course I'll end up cutting it again.
nup mines short and will stay short
