What's the best deshedding tool for short hair dogs?

I adopted a pitbull a little while ago who sheds a lot. Her hair is very short, shorter than your average pitbulls hair, so brushes don't help. Can anyone recommend some good deshedding tools that work?

Thank you in advance. What's the best deshedding tool for short hair dogs?
I use a rubber mitt with little nobs on it that is sold for grooming horses. It is very inexpensive and well tolerated by sensitive skinned animals. I don't have the furminator but a groomer friend loves them, it's just more than I can afford right now. What's the best deshedding tool for short hair dogs?
The Furminator! I love it!!!
One of those rubberized shedding gloves or maybe a Kong Zoom Groom. I use the ZG on my dog every day, but her hair is about 1-3 inches long. Because it's soft, you can't irritate her skin with it though, even on a very short-haired dog.

ETA: I would ask a groomer whether the Furminator is appropriate for your dog's very short coat. A groomer should be able to tell you. I'd worry that the coat is so short that you would not see a benefit and could scratch the dog's skin up.
Furminator - I bought mine at ebay for half of retail price.
