What are some cute things you can do with short hair?

Okay, so I have brown hair and it's about an inch below my shoulder. It's not thick, but it's not thin, so it's sort of in the middle? I've tried curling it but it only puffs up and frizzes. I also have side bangs. What's something I can do with my hair to make it cute?
